Sports Talent
Rewarded
Over 180 people packed the Macdonald Thainstone House Hotel, Inverurie on Friday 11 May for the Aberdeenshire Sports Council 2001 Sports Awards Evening.
'We had received over 100 nominations and the selection panel had an incredibly difficult time shortlisting the nominees for each of the 12 categories due to the exceptionally high quality of nominees' said Mike Seed, Administrator to Aberdeenshire Sports Council.
The evening proved to be a great success and is a way of rewarding and acknowledging Aberdeenshire sports people for their commitment to and/or achievement in sport during 2000 or the 2000/2001 season (or in the case of the Service to Sport category over many years).
