Success for Holly Fromholc
We would like to extend congratulations to Holly Fromholc from
Aberdeenshire Sports Council and Garioch Gymnastics Club, who has
won a medal at the Danish Gymnastics Championships in Team
Gymnastics.
Holly attended the Zinkovy Gymnastics camp in Czech Republic
last year and whilst there had discussions with Ian Lynchahon
of SALSC regarding Gymnastics Scholarships. Following a
discussion between Ian and Bo Busk Madsen of Ollerup Academy
in Denmark Holly was informed that a place might be available
at Ollerup Academy. Holly applied and was accepted. Although the Scholarship covered Tuition, Accomodation and Meals there
were other expenses to be covered. This was enabled with the
help and support of Aberdeenshire Sports Council and its
chairman, Jim Conn.
“Holly has not only excelled at Ollerup, under the guidance of
Bo Busk Madsen, but has developed her gymnastics skills to win
a Team Gym medal at this prestigous event in Denmark,” said
Ian Lynchahon. Ian added “We are hopeful that another young Scot can benefit from attending Ollerup this coming August as we again have a Scholarship available.”
Anyone interested in applying for the Scholarship should contact the Development Department who will put them in touch with Ian.
